Receta Mocha Brownie Torte With Strawberries

Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/3 c. margarine or possibly butter, softened
- 1/3 c. matzo cake meal, *see tip
- 1/3 c. grnd almonds
- 2 tsp instant coffee, granules or possibly crystals
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 x egg whites
- 1Â 1/2 c. sliced strawberries
- 2 Tbsp. currant jelly, melted
Direcciones
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 9-inch round cake pan with waxed paper; grease paper. In medium bowl, combine sugar, cocoa and margarine; beat till well blended. Add in cake meal, almonds, instant coffee and water; mix till smooth. (Batter will be thick.) In another medium bowl, beat egg whites till stiffpeaks form. Fold into chocolate mix till well blended. Spread mix proportionately in greased pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 to 25 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold 10 min. Remove from pan; cold completely on wire rack. Just before serving, place torte on serving plate. Top with sliced strawberries; brush with melted jelly. Store in refrigerator.
- TIP:* If matzo cake meal is unavailable, process matzo meal in food processor bowl with metal blade till very fine.
