Receta Moist Date Muffins

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c. date filling
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 x egg
- 1 c. sour lowfat milk or possibly buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 11/20 c. bran
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c. minced dates
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. warm water,
- 1 tsp lemon juice.
Direcciones
- Mix date filling ingredients & simmer till thickened.
- Preheat oven to 375F, prepare pans. Measure sugar, egg, salt, shortening & date filling into a bowl. Beat vigorously till smooth. Add in bran. Add in flour & baking soda, then lowfat milk. Stir ONLY to moisten ingredients. Spoon into pans & let stand for 3 mins. Bake for 20 mins or possibly till done.
- Makes 12 deliciouslytasty & moist muffins.
- Note: Shortening may be anything you wish ie butter, margarine, oil etc.
