Receta Muesli With Soy (Nutlettes) And Baked Apples
Raciónes: 1
Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. Rolled oats, (To 4 tbsp)
- 4 Tbsp. Nutlettes, *
- 1 x Apple, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. Raisins, (To 4 tbsp) or possibly other dry fruit, ie, apricots, craisins, dates
- Â Â Cinnamon, to taste
- Â Â Succant or possibly brown sugar, optional **
- 1/2 c. Lite soy lowfat milk, ( To 1 c.) ***, or possibly as much as desired, or possibly skim lowfat milk or possibly rice lowfat milk
Direcciones
- * Nutlettes are available from Dixie Diner (www.dixiediner.com)
- ** Go easy on the sweetening, and do not use any if using red delicious apples; the dry fruit will add in sufficient sweetness
- *** The oats and Nutlettes will absorb the lowfat milk as the mix sits. If desired it runny, use more lowfat milk.
- Core and slice the apple, then cut the slices in half. (You may peel it if desired, but I do not as most of the fiber is in the peel.) Arrange the apple slices, single layer, on a microwave safe plate. Sprinkle with cinnamon (fresh grnd is best) and, optionally, a sweetener of choice.
- Microwave on high for 3-4 min till the apples are soft. (You may want to loosely cover the apples as they do splatter some.)
- Mix the dry oatmeal and Nutlettes in a cereal bowl. Stir in the raisins and the apple pcs. Cover with soy lowfat milk.
- You may eat right away, or possibly let it sit for awhile so the oats and Nutlettes will soften in the lowfat milk. If desired it very soft, you could let it sit in the refrigerator over night and then eat it either cool or possibly gently heated in the microwave.
