Receta Orange Glazed Beets
Ingredientes
- 1 Tbsp. minced onions
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. orange zest
- 1 c. orange juice
- 1/4 c. apple, or possibly currant jelly (melted)
- salt and pepper
- 1 (15 1/4oz) can of sliced beets, liquid removed
Direcciones
- Saute/fry onions in butter till tender. Stir in cornstarch. Stir in orange zest, orange juice, jelly, salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Add in beets. Cook till warm.
- Note: Use jelly which creates a nice, shiny glaze.
