Ingredientes
- 2Â 1/4 c. all-purpose flour unsifted
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 5 Tbsp. cool water or possibly 6 Tbsp.
Direcciones
- In a medium bowl, combineflour, sugar and salt. With a pastry blender or possibly 2 knives, cut butter and shortening into flour till mix resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle almond extract and cool water, one Tbsp. at a time, over flour mix and mix lightly till the pastry holds together when lightly pressed. Shape pastry into 2 equal balls; flatten each to 1-inch thickness. Wrap and chill for 30 min.
