Receta Sausage Apple Stuffing

Ingredientes
- 1 (14-16 ounce.) ready to stuff turkey
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 lg. cooking apple, peeled and minced
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 c. celery, minced
- 8 c. day old bread cubes, not dry
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
Direcciones
- Over medium heat brown sausage; breaking apart with fork into small pcs. Remove from pan and put aside. Pour all but 1/4 c. fat from pan. Add in to pan apple, onion and celery and cook over medium heat till celery is tender, about 10 min; stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
- In large bowl, put bread cubes and add in apple mix. Beat Large eggs; add in seasonings to egg mix and mix thoroughly. Add in sausage to bread cube mix, then add in Large eggs with seasonings. Mix well. Slowly add in melted butter and toss thoroughly. Stuff turkey as usual.
