- In large pan, place chicken on rack. Put onions and potatoes, quartered around chicken. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hrs. Eat what you want of chicken (2 to 3 meals). Place carcass in crock pot. Dice 2 potatoes and 3 medium onions, 1 package chicken soup starter, fill 3/4 with water. Cook for 8 hrs.
