Receta Skillet Cheese Puffs

Ingredientes
- 1/3 pound Cheddar cheese, cut in 1/4 inch cubes (1 1/3 c.)
- 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 tbsp. diced green pepper
Direcciones
- Mix flour, baking pwdr and salt. Beat Large eggs slightly with hand or possibly electric beater. Lightly stir in flour, then cheese, onion, green pepper. Drop by spoonfuls into small amount of warm melted shortening in skillet; brown slowly, turning once. Takes about 3 min. Place on paper toweling and serve at once, with a creamed vegetable, ketchup or possibly chili sauce. Makes 12 to 16 puffs.
