Receta Sopaipillas (Fried Biscuit Puffs)

Ingredientes
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Shortening
- 2/3 c. Lukewarm water
- Â Â Fat for frying
- Â Â Honey or possibly sugar and cinnamon
Direcciones
- Stir together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Cut in the shortening until mix resembled cornmeal. Gradually add in the water,stirring with a fork
- (dough will be crumbly). Turn onto floured surface, knead into a smooth ball. Divide dough in half;let stand 10 min. Roll each half into a 12 1/2 x 10 inch rectangle. Cut into 2 1/2 inch squares (don't reroll or possibly patch dough). Fry a few at a time in deep warm fat (425 deg f) until golden brown.
- Drain on paper toweling. Serve with Honey or possibly roll in sugar-cinnamon mix.
