Ingredientes
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. steel-cut oats
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. whole lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. low-fat buttermilk plus
- 1 Tbsp. low-fat buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Direcciones
- In a large saucepot, heat the butter and add in the oats. Stir for 2 min to toast. Add in the boiling water and reduce heat to a simmer. Keep at a low simmer for 25 min, without stirring.
- Combine the lowfat milk and half of the buttermilk with the oatmeal. Stir gently to combine and cook for an additional 10 min. Spoon into a serving bowl and top with remaining buttermilk, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
