  1. Cut the 1/2 inch off the top of the garlic. Cut the roots so which the garlic will sit flat. Remove the papery skin from the garlic, but leave sufficient so which the cloves stay together. Put garlic into a small casserole dish or possibly baking pan, drizzle extra virgin olive oil over it, and cover with a lid or possibly foil. Bake in a preheated 325 oven for 1 hour. Remove garlic and let it cold till you can handle it.
  2. Combine water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Stir occasionally till mix boils then reduce heat till mix is just simmering. Add in remaining ingredients to pan and stir. Squeeze the sides of the head of garlic till the pasty roasted garlic is squeezed out. Measure 2 tsp. into the saucepan and whisk to combine. Let mix simmer for 35-45 min or possibly till sauce has reduced by about 1/2 and is thick and syrupy. Make sure it doesn't boil over.
  3. Makes 1 c. of glaze
  4. NOTES : I made this on Saturday to use for Mothers Day. My Mom and I put it on a pork roast, and it went on chicken breasts for my brother's family. It tastes very much like the real thing. I think I let mine cook off too long, it was VERY thick when I went to use it and I had to reheat it to brushing consistency. I originally got this off of the Eat-L list, but I do not know who posted it. Yummy!
