  • 8 slc white bread crusts trimmed
  • 12 slc bacon cooked, crumbled
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms - (4 ounce) liquid removed
  • 2 x green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. 2% lowfat milk
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

Direcciones

  1. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish and line the bottom with half of the bread slices.
  2. Sprinkle bacon, mushrooms and onions over bread. Top with cheese and cover with remaining 4 bread slices.
  3. In a medium bowl whisk together lowfat milk, Large eggs, salt and pepper; pour over bread. Cover. Chill overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake casserole, uncovered, for 1 hour or possibly till golden and set. Let stand 10 min before serving.
  5. This recipe yields 6 servings.
