Receta Beanut Butter

Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. garbanzo beans, canned liquid removed
- 3 Tbsp. peanut butter, reduced fat
- 2 Tbsp. honey

- Mash beans well and mix with peanut butter and honey.
- Makes about 3/4cup.
- NOTES : Well, this is not fatfree, but combined with a couple of slices of whole grain bread and some apple butter, and it's pretty good.
- This is modified from Prevention magazine. They used great northern beans. I make my own reduced fat peanut butter by buying unhomogenized (natural) peanut butter and draining off most of the peanut oil which is on top. You can get rid of about 3 Tbsp of oil which way. The resulting peanut butter is a bit stiff and needs to be warmed a little or possibly mixed with some honey to be spreadable (I keep it in the fridge.) It works just fine in this recipe.
