  • 6 x Chicken Legs -- (can use quarters)
  • 6 x Chicken Thighs Water
  • 3 x Bay Leaves
  • 1 med Yellow Onion -- minced
  • 3 stalk Celery -- sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 x Cloves Garlic -- chopped
  • 32 ounce Tomato Sauce
  • 32 ounce Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Chili Pwdr
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 8 x servings Spaghetti -- uncooked

Direcciones

  1. Place chicken quarters (legs & thighs) into a crockpot early in the day.
  2. It's fine if they are still frzn. Cover just barely with water, salt to taste and bay leaves. Turn the crockpot on low and go to work (or possibly carry on your normal day's activities.
  3. In the evening, turn off the crockpot. Remove chicken from the crockpot and throw away skin and bones. In a deep pot, heat extra virgin olive oil. Add in onion and garlic and cook till the onions are translucent/soft. Add in tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes, the chicken and about a c. of the chicken broth from the crockpot. (If you add in too much broth, the sauce will be too soupy; if you add in too little, the chicken taste will be a bit weak.) Stir, cutting up the whole tomatoes. Add in spices, and onion/celery mix. Cook, stirringoccasionally.
  4. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Mix noodles with sauce, and serve with grated Parmesan cheese on the side.
