Receta Curried Potatoes
Potatoes with spices, curry powder and uplifted with the fragrance of curry leaves.
Ingredientes
- 3 medium size (about 400g) potatoes - remove skin, cut into 4 pieces and sliced.
- 1 tbsp chili powder (or as needed)
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 large red onion - sliced thinly
- 5 garlic - sliced thinly4-5 sprigs curry leaves
- Spices - 1 stick cinnamon, 3 cloves and 1 star anise
- 1 tbsp tamarind juice
- 4 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Direcciones
- Into heated oil, fry onion, garlic and spices for 2 mins.
- Mix chili and turmeric powder with water for a thick paste.
- Add paste into fried ingredients.
- Continue to fry and stir till oil splits.
- Put in potatoes, curry leaves, garam masala, tamarind juice and salt.
- Pour enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Stir and let it cook till potatoes are soft and gravy thickens.
- Remove from heat.
