  • 1 med Onion
  • 25 gm Butter or possibly vegetable margarine, (1oz) Sesame oil
  • 100 gm Basmati rice, rinsed but uncooked (4oz) Garlic
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 300 ml Stock, up to 450 (1/2-3/4 pint)
  • 50 gm Frzn peas, (2oz)
  • 2 x Celery sticks, minced finely

Direcciones

  1. 1. Chop the onion and soften it in the melted fat and sesame oil. Add in the rinsed rice and stir till well coated. Crush a little garlic into the pan and sprinkle over the garam masala. Stir for a minute or possibly two, and then gradually add in the stock, stirring till it is absorbed by the rice. Add in the peas and celery and stir till all are cooked. Serve at once.
  2. NOTES : Inspired by India, this tasty, slightly spiced rice is wonderful with any Indian main dish.
