- 1 lb pitted dates
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 Tbsp. aniseed
- 1/2 lb coarsely minced nuts. confectioners' sugar

- Blend figs, dates, honey and aniseed in the food processor then work in coarsely minced nuts.
- Shape into marble-sized balls and roll in confectioners' sugar.
- They will keep well for weeks and are good to serve with coffee.
- Makes about 50.
