Receta Holiday Peppermint Candies

Ingredientes
- 4 ounce. Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract or possibly few drops peppermint oil
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- Green & red food coloring
- Sifted powdered sugar
Direcciones
- Beat cream cheese, butter, corn syrup and extract in large mixing bowl at medium speed with electric mixer till well blended. Gradually add in 4 c. powdered sugar; mix well.
- Divide mix into thirds. Knead few drops green food coloring into one third; repeat with red food coloring and second third. Leave one third uncolored. Wrap each third in plastic wrap.
- Working with one color mix at a time, shape into 3/4" balls. Place on wax paper lined cookie sheet. Flatten each ball with bottom of glass which has been lightly dipped in sugar. Repeat with remaining mixtures. Decorate with icing, if you like. Chill. Makes 5 dozen.
