Receta Julekake Dough

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 5 Tbsp. Butter, cut up
- 1 lrg Egg, lightly beaten
- 3 c. Bread flour
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Freshly grnd cardamom
- 1 pkt Active dry or possibly rapid-rise yeast (1 Tablespoons.)
- 1/2 c. Candied red & green cherries
- 1/4 c. Golden brown or possibly dark raisins
Direcciones
- Scald the lowfat milk by heating to just below the boiling point. Pour the lowfat milk into the bread pan, add in butter and stir till melted. Add in the egg. Add in the flour, sugar, salt, cardamom and yeast.
- Set the machine to the Dough cycle and press Start. After 15 to 18 min of mixing, add in the cherries and raisins.
- In about 1 1/2 hrs the machine will indicate the dough is ready. Remove dough from the machine. Shape into a round ball.
- Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Cover and let rise in a hot place till almost doubled in size, 30 to 45 min.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Uncover dough and bake 30 to 35 min till golden and a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean and dry.
- Cold loaf on a rack. Frost, if you like.
- Makes 1 large loaf.
