Receta Molasses Baked Beans

Ingredientes
- 1 x (16 ounce) pkg dry navy beans
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
- 1/2 lb bacon, diced
- 1 med onion, sliced
Direcciones
- Sort and wash beans; place in a large Dutch oven. Cover with water 2 inches above beans; let soak overnight. Add in salt to beans, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 min. Drain, reserving liquid. Add in next 4 ingredients, mixing well. Layer half each of bean mix, bacon, and onion in a greased 2 1/2 qt casserole. Repeat layers. Add in reserved liquid to barely cover beans. Cover and bake at 300 degrees F. for 2 hrs and 15 min.
- Uncover and bake an additional 15 min or possibly till liquid is absorbed.
- Serves 10 to 12.
