Receta Peppermint Layered Chocolate Bars

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. Margarine
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/3 c. Cocoa
- 1 c. Coconut
- 1/2 c. Minced nuts
- 1 x Egg, beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 c. Graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 c. Margarine, softened
- 2 c. Powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
- 1 tsp Peppermint extract
- 3 dsh Green food coloring
- 1 pkt Semi-sweet chocolate chips, (6 ounce.)
- 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
Direcciones
- In a 2-qt saucepan combine margarine, sugar, cocoa, egg and vanilla.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till margarine is melted and mix is smooth, 1 to 2 min. Stir in remaining crust ingredients.
- Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan and refrigerate15 min. In a small mixer bowl combine filling ingredients. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often till smooth, 2 to 3 min. Spread proportionately over crust. Refrigerate15 min.
- In a 1-qt saucepan combine chocolate pcs and lowfat milk. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally till chocolate is melted, 2 to 3 min.
- Spread proportionately over bars. Cover; refrigerate2 to 3 hrs or possibly till hard. Cut into bars. Store, covered, in the refrigerator.
- Yield: 4 dozen.
