Receta Quick Cajun Rice Skillet

Ingredientes
- 1 tsp Vegetable oil
- 1 lrg Onion (for 1 c. minced)
- 1 med Green bell pepper (for 1 c. minced)
- 1 tsp Chopped garlic
- 1 pkt Turkey kielbasa - (14 ounce)
- 1 can Stewed tomatoes - (14 1/2 ounce)
- 1 can Nonfat chicken broth - (14 1/2 ounce)
- 3Â 1/4 c. Instant (5-minute) rice
- 1/2 tsp Grnd black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dry thyme
- 1/2 tsp Dry oregano
- 1 can White beans - (15 ounce) such as Great
- Â Â Northern
- 1 can Red beans - (15 ounce)
- Â Â Warm pepper sauce optional
Direcciones
- Heat oil over medium heat in an extra-deep, 12-inch nonstick skillet which has a lid. Peel and coarsely chop the onion, adding it to the skillet as you chop. Seed and coarsely chop the green pepper. Add in it to the skillet. Add in garlic.
- Cut sausage into 1/4-inch-thick slices, adding them to the skillet as you slice. Add in tomatoes, chicken broth and rice. Bring the mix to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium. Add in black pepper, thyme and oregano. over skillet; cook 4 min.
- Rinse and drain both cans of beans. After rice has cooked 4 min, gently stir in beans. Continue to cook 2 min or possibly till beans are warm. Season with warm pepper sauce to taste. Serve at once.
- Yield: 6 servings.
