  1. CAKE: Cream the butter and sugar till smooth. Add in egg and beat well. Stir in applesauce. Mix flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, spices and salt. Add in to butter mix. Stir and beat till well blended. Add in raisins and nuts, stir to blend. Place in a greased and floured bundt cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees till cake is done and pick inserted into center comes out clean, about 45 min. Let cake rest in pan for a couple min, then turn onto a rack. Pour glaze over the cake while it is still warm, if you desire to glaze. Let the glaze drizzle down the sides of the cake. This may be garnished with fresh apple slices.
