Receta Tiny Peas And Pasta

Ingredientes
- 4 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 lrg Onion, diced
- 3 c. Sliced mushrooms (1/2 lb.)
- 2 Tbsp. Minced parsley
- 1 c. Orzo
- 2Â 1/2 c. Chicken broth
- 1 c. Dry white wine
- 2Â 1/2 c. Fresh petite peas
- 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh thyme
- Â Â Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan cheese
Direcciones
- In a large heavy skillet, heat 2 tb. of the butter. Add in onion, mushrooms and parsley; saute/fry till softened. Remove from pan. Add in the other 2 tb. of butter to the pan and heat till sizzling. Add in orzo and stir constantly till golden. Return onion mushroom mix to pan. Add in chicken broth and wine. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer 10 to 15 min, till orzo is tender but still moist.
- While orzo is cooking, steam peas just till barely tender. Add in thyme and toss with pasta just before serving. Add in salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with Parmesan.
