I'm a late-mid-twenties newlywed with an amazing set of friends and family whom I love to entertain! I struggled to find my footing in the kitchen - but somewhere along the way something just *clicked* and I (and my husband!) am so grateful it did! I work 9-5 and try to cook at least 4 meals a night if I can. I love to entertain and have a soft spot for theme parties. I've traveled around Europe where i fell in love with the fresh produce and simple preperations in Italy, rich cheeses and pate in France and the fresh seafood and hearty wheat ales of Belgium. I will never, EVER turn away a properly prepared cheeseburger! I will alter ANY recipe to avoid peeling a potato.

Growing up, my grandmother and mother had a small selection of recipes they were passionate about, but for the most part - they didn't enjoy spending time in the kitchen. My father prepared sturdy Irish and German goodies for us growing up and I've taken the reigns and now make sauerbratten each Fall.
My tween years were a bland food period in my life. Oh boy! was I a picky eater! All that changed when I started dating my nw husband in high school. His mother made dinner every night and I was expected to eat every last bite. I credit her for forcing my palatte wide open!!
I lived with my sister-in-law for a few years and her easy and daring cooking style gave me the bug to try it myself. I started with easy to follow Rachael Ray recipes and am proud to say i am now a pretty good (if not enthusiastic!) new home cook!
