  • 3 lb of yams
  • 4 c. of granny smith apples, thinly sliced Butter
  • 4 Tbsp. brown sugar Allspice Salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Parboil the whole yams for about 20 min with skin on. Remove and cold till you can handle them easily. Peel and slice them about 1/4 inch thick. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter a two-qt baking dish and layer half the sliced yams on the bottom, top with half the apples.
  3. Dot with 2 tbsp. of butter and 2 tbsp. of brown sugar. Sprinkle with seasonings and repeat.
  4. Bake covered for about 25 min, remove cover and bake for an additional 20 min, till yams and apples are tender and glazed.
