Receta Braised Steak With Shallots

Ingredientes
- 110 gm /4oz beef steak salt freshly grnd black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pch oregano
- 1 pch paprika
- 2 x baby carrots, peeled and cut in half, blanched and liquid removed
- 1/2 x potato, peeled, quartered, blanched and liquid removed
- 2 x shallots, halved
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 110 ml /4fl ounce red wine
- 55 gm /2oz unsalted butter
- 2 Tbsp. fresh chives, minced
- 2 Tbsp. fresh flat-leaf parsley, minced
Direcciones
- Method:1. Season the beef steak with salt and pepper.
- 2. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and sear the steak for one minute on either side.
- 3. Add in the oregano and paprika to the pan and pour in the wine.
- 4. Add in the carrots, potatoes and shallots to the pan, and simmer gently for 4-5 min.
- 5. Stir in the mustard, red wine, butter and fresh herbs and simmer for a further 4-5 min.
- 6. To serve, place the steak on a serving plate, and arrange the vegetables around the edge. Pour the sauce over and serve.
