Receta Chinese Pepper Steak

Ingredientes
- 1 pound sirloin, cut 1/4 inch thick
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pound can tomatoes
- 1 lg. green pepper, cut into strips
- 1/4 c. cool water
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 c. warm water
Direcciones
- Cut beef into strips and brown in warm shortening about 15 min. Add in onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 min longer. Dissolve bouillon in warm water. Add in the meat. Cover and let simmer till meat is done. Add in tomatoes and green pepper. Cook 10 min longer. Combine cornstarch with the cool water. Add in cornstarch and soy sauce to the meat mix and bring to a boil, stirring constantly till sauce is thick and clear. Remove garlic. Serve over buttered noodles.
