Receta Deep Fried Buns With Custard Paste

- Dough
- 600 gm flour
- 225 gm sugar
- 20 gm baking pwdr
- 300 gm water Custard paste
- 20 gm melted butter
- 240 gm sugar
- 25 gm flour
- 25 gm custard pwdr
- 25 gm corn flour
- 2 x Large eggs
- 180 gm coconut lowfat milk
- 105 gm condensed lowfat milk
- 105 gm evaporated lowfat milk
- 85 gm water
- 3 dsh vanilla essence
Direcciones
- MethodSIEVE the flour into a mixing bowl. Add in baking pwdr, sugar and water and mix well. Knead dough till smooth.
- To make custard paste:Place melted butter, sugar, flour, custard pwdr and cornflour into a container and mix well.
- Add in Large eggs and continue mixing.
- Pour in coconut lowfat milk, evaporated lowfat milk, condensed lowfat milk, water, vanilla essence and blend well to obtain a smooth texture.
- Steam the mix for an hour. Whisk it every 15 min while steaming.
- To make custard buns:Cut dough into small pcs about 25g each and shape them into balls.
- Flatten dough with the palm of your hand and place a teaspoonful of custard paste in the middle of the flattened dough. Cover the paste with the dough and shape into a ball again.
- Heat oil to about 175 degrees C and then deep-fry the custard buns till golden.
