Receta Halva Almond Dessert

Ingredientes
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. honey
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 lb (1 stick) butter
- 1/2 c. finely grnd almonds
- 1 c. raw cream of wheat
Direcciones
- Combine the sugar, honey, water, and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat 20 min. While the syrup is cooking, heat the butter in a skillet; add in the almonds and cream of wheat. Cook over low heat, stirring steadily, till browned.
- Add in to the syrup (after syrup has cooked 20 min), mix well, cover, and cook 15 min, stirring occasionally. pour into a buttered 8-by-10-inch buttered shallow pan. Cold. Cut into squares and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar or possibly cinnamon.
- Makes 20 2-inch squares.
