Receta New Orleans Style Bread Pudding

Ingredientes
- Â Â A wonderful Creole dessert
- Â Â French bread , broken into very small pcs (about 6 c.)
- 1 stk butter, melted
- 8 x Large eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 can (6 oz) evaporated lowfat milk
- 1Â 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 3/4 c. minced pecans
Direcciones
- Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Pour into a greased glass baking dish. Cook at 350 degrees for 45 min to 1 hour or possibly till top is golden and springs back when touched.
- Bourbon Sauce3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed1 c. half and half3 Tbsp. unsalted butter1 egg, beaten2 ounces bourbon
- In a saucepan over medium heat, heat butter. Add in sugar and half and half and whisk till blended. Add in a little of the mix to the beaten egg to temper it, then add in the egg and whisk for about 1 minute. Remove pot from heat and add in bourbon. Return to heat and whisk till sauce is of desired consistency.
- Spoon sauce over pudding in bowls and serve hot with good quality vanilla ice cream if you like.
