Receta Pain Perdu (Lost Bread)

Ingredientes
- 3 x Large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Orange flower water
- 1 Tbsp. Grated lemon zest
- 1/4 c. Brandy
- 1/2 tsp Grnd nutmeg
- 8 slc Stale French bread
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- Â Â Powdered sugar
- Â Â Cane syrup

- Combine the Large eggs, lowfat milk, sugar, orange flower water, lemon zest, brandy and nutmeg in a bowl. Mix well. Soak the bread in the liquid mix. Heat the butter and oil in a heavy frying pan. Fry the bread till golden on both sides. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with hot cane syrup.
