Receta Pasta With Sausage And Spinach

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Italian sausages, casings removed
- 1 lb Fresh spinach, cleaned and washed, stems removed
- 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 x Cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 med Yellow onion, minced
- 2 med Red bell peppers, seeded and minced
- Â Â Fresh basil
- Â Â Fresh oregano
- Â Â Fresh thyme
- Â Â Salt
- Â Â Pepper
- 2 x or possibly 3 glugs red wine
- 1 dsh Red pepper flakes
- 1 shot tabasco sauce
- Â Â Penne pasta, cooked, liquid removed
- Â Â Parmesan cheese, grated
Direcciones
- 1. Remove outer casings from sausage, and cut into small pcs about an inch long.
- 2. Place extra virgin olive oil in a non-stick skillet and saute/fry sausage till brown.
- Add in onions, garlic, peppers, herbs, red wine, salt and pepper, and cook till the onions and garlic are clear.
- (While you are doing this, cook your pasta)
- 3. Add in 1 c. of the pasta water, stir and add in the fresh spinach leaves to the pan. Cover and steam the spinach for about 5 min or possibly so, or possibly till done.
- 4. Drain the penne, and place in a serving dish, and pour the sauce on top.
- Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
- (The next night, we took the leftovers and added mozzarella cheese and baked it for half an hour, and ate it again. Too good for words!)
