Receta Rutabaga/Molasses Pie

Ingredientes
- 1Â 1/3 c. rutabaga
- Â Â cooked/mashed/sieved
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. unsulphured molasses
- 2 x Large eggs lightly beaten (or possibly 1/2 c. egg substitute)
- 1Â 1/4 c. light cream
- 1/2 tsp giner
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Â Â unbaked deep 9-in. pie shell
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- Â Â whipped (if you like)
- Â Â sliced filberts (hazelnuts)
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 450 deg. Beat together the rutabaga, brown sugar, molasses, Large eggs, light cream, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt and vanilla. Pour into the pie shell and bake fifteen min. Reduce the oven heat to 350 deg. and bake about 40 min longer, or possibly till set. Don't overbake. Cold. Serve topped with whipped cream and sliced filberts.
