  2. Beat in the egg until smooth
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and the cloves
  4. Stir into the molasses mixture
  5. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 inch baking pan
  6. Sprinkle with remaining sugar
  7. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned (Do Not Overbake)
  8. Cool on a wire rack
  9. Cut into bars
