Receta Spaghetti With Meatballs

Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil or possibly butter
- 1 cl garlic, chopped
- 1 med onion, finely minced
- 1 can italian-style, (28 ounce)
- Â Â tomatoes, mashed
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp leaf basil
- 1 tsp leaf oregano
- 1 can tomato paste, (6 ounce)
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
- Â Â meatballs, (below)(optional)
- 2 pkt spaghetti, (16 ounce ea)
- Â Â grated parmesan cheese
- Â Â meatballs--
- 1 lb lean grnd beef
- 1/2 lb lean grnd pork
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
- 1/8 tsp freshly grnd pepper
- 1/2 tsp leaf basil
- 1/2 tsp leaf oregano
- 1/2 tsp leaf thyme
- 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. pine nuts, (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1/4 c. evaporated lowfat milk
Direcciones
- Combine all ingredients except Meatballs, spaghetti and cheese in Crock-Pot; stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 5 - 10 hrs. If Meatballs are added, continue to cook on Low for 7 to 12 hrs.
- Just before serving, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Serve topped with Meatballs in sauce and pass grated parmesan cheese.
- For Meatballs: Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Shape into 24 meatballs about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place on baking sheet and bake in 450 degree oven for 15 to 20 min or possibly brown meatballs in skillet; drain.
