Receta Caramel Apple Cake

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. Vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/2 c. Packed brown sugar
- 3 x Large eggs
- 3 c. Flour
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 1/2 c. Apples, diced, peeled
- 1 c. Walnuts, minced
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 c. Packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. Light cream
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 dsh Salt
- 1 c. Confectioner's sugar
Direcciones
- In mixing bowl, combine oil and sugar. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition., Combine dry ingredients; add in to batter and stir well. Mix in apples, walnuts and vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 for 1 - 1/2 hrs or possibly till cake test done. Cold in pan 10 min; remove to a wire rack to cold completely. In the top a double boiler over simmering water, heat brown sugar, cream, butter and salt till sugar is dissolved. Cold to room temperature. Beat in confectioners sugar till smooth; drizzle over cake. Sprinkle with nuts if you like.
