Receta Cheese Strata with Mushrooms
This is nice for a brunch. It is best made ahead and refrigerated until time to bake.
I use Italian or French bread.

Ingredientes
- 4 C bread cubes, crusts trimmed
- 1 lb. Sharp Cheddar cheese, cubed
- 1/2 C butter, melted
- 1lb. whole fresh mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 6 large eggs
- 4 C milk
- 2 t prepared mustard
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t ground pepper
Direcciones
- Place half the bread cubes in 3 quart casserole.
- Layer half the cheese and 1/2 the butter.
- Repeat layers and arrange mushrooms on top.
- Beat together eggs, mustard, milk and salt and pour over layered mixture.
- If possible,refrigerate overnight or at least two hours until baking time.
- Bake at 300 degrees about 2 hours or until set.
