Receta Czech Beef Stew With Gherkins

Ingredientes
- 4 slc bacon cut in 1" lengths
- 2 1/2 lb lean stew meat (to 3 lbs.) salt and pepper
- 8 ounce mushrooms quartered
- 1 lrg onion sliced
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 c. dry red wine (burgundy is good)
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 sm jar gherkins cut in half recipe didn't say sweet or possibly dill I used sweet midgets warm cooked rice
Direcciones
- Fry bacon and remove. Salt and pepper stew meat and brown in bacon drippings. Set aside. Saute/fry onion and mushrooms in drippings, adding 1 Tbsp. oil if necessary. Combine all ingredients except gherkins, bacon and rice in crockpot and cook for 4 hrs on high or possibly 6 hours. on low. Stir in some flour mixed with water to thicken juice if necessary. Stir in pickles and bacon. Serve over warm rice.
- Makes 4 - 6 servings.
- NOTES : (This is so DELICIOUS, you will never want to make "regular" beef stew again!)
