Receta Hot Tamale Soup

Ingredientes
- 1 lb grnd beef
- 1 x onion minced
- 1 x bell pepper minced
- 2 x garlic cloves minced
- 1 Tbsp. chili pwdr
- 2 tsp grnd cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 pch grnd cinnamon
- 3 c. canned chicken broth
- 1 can tomatoes minced, with juices (14-to-16-oz)
- 12 x purchased tamales 3 ounces each
- 1 can pinto beans rinsed, liquid removed (15-oz)
- 1 c. frzn corn kernels Shredded cheddar
Direcciones
- Heat heavy large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in first 4 ingredients and cook till beef is brown, breaking up meat with fork, about 4 min.
- Add in chili pwdr, cumin, cayenne and cinnamon and cook 1 minute. Add in broth and tomatoes with juices. Cover and simmer 30 min. Meanwhile, heat tamales according to package instructions.
- Stir beans and corn into soup. Simmer till corn is just heated through, about 3 min. Season soup to taste with salt and pepper. Place 2 tamales into each of 6 bowls. Ladle soup into bowls. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
- Serves 6.
