Receta Olde Tyme Beef Stew

Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. Fat
- 2 lb Beef chuck, cubed
- 1 lrg Onion, minced
- 1 x Clove garlic
- 4 c. Boiling water
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 6 x Carrots, quartered
- 1 lb Pearl onions
- 3 med Potatoes, cubed
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1 dsh Allspice or possibly cloves
Direcciones
- Heat fat in dutch oven, slowly turning to brown proportionately. Add in onion, garlic, salt, lemon juice, sugar, Worcestershire, pepper, paprika, bay leaves, spices and boiling water, cover and simmer 2 hrs. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Add in vegetables when meat is almost done; simmer 30 min or possibly till vegetables are tender. Throw away bay leaves and garlic clove. (To find easily, slip a toothpick through the garlic clove and bay leaves.
