Receta Texas Sheetcake for a Large Group
Nice one-layer cake that will feed 20 or more. Make the cake from scratch, but use canned frosting.
Equipment: Jelly Roll pan or 15 X 10 pan
Ingredientes
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- canned chocolate frosting
- Or:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/3 cup milk
- oz. (one box) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Direcciones
- Heat oven to 350 F.
- Cream the butter with the sugar, beat in the eggs.
- Add the other ingredients.
- Grease and flour the baking pan.
- Pour in batter.
- Bake 20 minutes, beging checking for doneness.
- While cake is still warm, spread on icing.
