Receta Calumet Fruit Cake

Ingredientes
- 1 lb sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp calumet baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp mace
- 1 lb butter
- 1 lb brown sugar
- 10 x Large eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 lb candied cherries
- 1/2 lb candied pineapple
- 1 lb dates, seeded and sliced
- 1 lb raisins
- 1 lb currants
- 1/2 lb citron, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb candied orange and lemon peel
- 1/2 lb nut meats, minced
- 1 c. honey
- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. cider
Direcciones
- Sift flour once, measure, add in baking pwdr and spices, and sift together three times.
- Cream shortening thoroughly, add in sugar gradually, and cream together till light and fluffy.
- Add in Large eggs, fruits, peel, nuts, honey, molasses, and cider.
- Add in flour gradually.
- Bake in four paper-lined pans, 8x8x2 inches, in slow oven (200 degrees) 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
- Makes 10 pounds fruit cake.
