Ingredientes
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 3/4 tsp baking pwdr
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp grnd ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 pch grnd cloves
- 1 x egg
- 1 x egg white
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. molasses
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. candied ginger root minced
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 375F/190C.
- 1. In bowl, mix together flours, baking pwdr, baking soda, cinnamon, grnd ginger, nutmeg and cloves.
- 2. In large bowl, beat egg and egg white with sugar, molasses and vegetable oil.
- 3. Add in dry ingredients to egg mix and combine thoroughly. Add in raisins and candied ginger.
- 4. Pat batter into lightly oiled or possibly parchment paper-lined 15 x 10-inch (40 x 25 cm) baking sheet. (To prevent burning, use an insulated baking sheet, or possibly place one baking sheet on top of another of the same size.) Bake in preheated 375F/190C oven for 15 min, or possibly till cooked through but not hard. Cut into squares while hot, and cold on racks.
