Receta Mushroom Crust Quiche (Recipe From Los Angeles Times)

Ingredientes
- 5 Tbsp. butter divided
- 1/2 lb mushrooms coarsely minced
- 1/2 c. finely crushed soda crackers (about 16)
- 3/4 c. minced green onions
- 2 c. shredded Jack cheese
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Direcciones
- Heat 3 Tbsp. butter in skillet over medium heat. Saute/fry minced mushrooms till tender. Remove pan from heat. Stir in cracker crumbs. Press mix into bottom and sides of greased 9-inch pie plate.
- Heat remaining 2 Tbsp. butter in skillet and saute/fry green onions quickly. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with Jack cheese.
- In blender, combine cottage cheese, Large eggs and cayenne pepper. Blend well. Turn into mushroom crust. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake 350 degrees 35 to 40 min, or possibly till done. Let stand about 10 min before serving. Makes 6-8 servings.
